Fifty, frumpy and full of inhibitions, newly divorced Julie is searching for the sex life she once enjoyed, declaring ‘I’m not ready to be put out to pasture yet!’  After hosting an Erotica party at home, Julie resolutely decides to rekindle her lost libido and find men who will honour her sexuality and make her feel like a whole woman again.  Before she does, she has her 10% commission to spend – and she’s not sure which battery-powered bed pal to choose.

Hurling herself into the modern dating scene, Julie shares her experiences with raw humour and engaging honesty.  Over the 70 minutes of the show, Julie introduces us to a range of characters who have helped – or hindered - her transition from frumpy housewife to empowered 21st Century woman.

But just what does it take for Julie to truly become herself, and does she have the inner courage? What is required of any man or woman to live their truest life in a world that wants us to settle for ‘fitting in’? Expect tears, truth, and revelations aplenty in this warm and witty solo play, which had its sparkling debut at the 2019 Edinburgh Festival and now tours again in this specially extended version.
